Blurb -
"In Beyond the Ramparts, the first comprehensive history of Circular Head to be published, Kerry Pink and Annette Ebdon have told the story of the district as it has unfolded in the 190-year interval between these two events.
Circular Head's recorded history is voluminous - the meticulous records of the Van Dieman's Land Company alone have already been the source of many books, and will continue to be the basis of more volumes in the coming years. Of necessity then, the authors have had to be selective in their use of material from personal and public records, archives and newspapers, which they have carefully blended with oral history from recent interviews to compile a wide ranging overview of the district's foundation and development.
The publishing committee's belief in the need for this book found immediate and positive support from the district's leading firms in the form of generous sponsorship, which has resulted in the production of a volume that should have a proud place in every Circular Head home."
