"Houseplants are found in nearly every home, where they are often regarded as an integral part of the interior decorations. Their cultivation makes a popular and intriguing hobby and in this respect The Hamlyn Book of House Plants will widen the reader's horizon as it gives information about a large number of plants, many of which have been overlooked by other literature on the subject. Each plant described is beautifully illustrainted in colour and details are given of general care and any specific growing requirements, together with interesting botanical facts which are often ignored."
