"This book is of vital concern to PARENTS of young children -
It contains a complete 'Home Training Program for your child', to help him develop the ability and capacity to learn. Here are home-tested, teacher-approved methods, activities, games and ideas that can easily and quickly be adapted by any parent.
How well your child does in school - how he reacts to the instructions of the teacher, how he studies, prepares his homework, takes tests - depends largely on his training in learning how to learn.
As a parent of a pre-schooler or elementary grade school pupil, you can provide the needed words of encouragement, the proper direction and guidance, to help your child succeed in school and in his future years as an adult.
Use this educator-approved Home Training Program to help your child master, (without the usual difficulties), the all-important "3Rs"- Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. The material is flexibly arranged so that it can be readily used for brush-up or remedial purposes and as a supplement to a child's early years of education.
In addition, there are dozens of professional pointers you can use to...create a proper climate for learning...develop the art of perception in your child...sharpen your child's ability to Listen and Hear, Look and See, Touch and Feel, Taste, and Smell...and help him establish the skill of identifying symbols, shapes and shape combinations.
Here are some of the other special features, now available in this proven Home Training Program...
*shows parents what their children are normally "expected" to know at various age levels.
*helps parents find specific subjects for immediate reference, enabling the child to receive prompt help exactly where needed.
*describes to parents an entirely new approach to phonics, that does not conflict with accepted methods of teaching reading.
*explains accepted, easy-to-use techniques for improving tour child's reading ability.
*introduces interesting, sensible ways to increase the vocabulary of your child.
