Blurb -
"From the master storyteller comes a colourful, tense and up-to-the-minute thriller, charged with plots, counter-plots, deception and double dealing.
Harry Latham is a multilingual intelligence officer. After thirty months in deep cover, he traces and enters the Bruderschaft Valley, a deep, hidden enclave in the Hausruck Alps. What he finds there is the return of the Nazi monster of the Second World War - the Valley is the processing centre for thousands who have dedicated themselves to the emergence of the Fourth Reich.
Harry is ultimately exposed, caught in a deadly trap, betrayed by his own people. An accident is staged, and without his knowledge he undergoes an operation performed by a brilliant neurosurgeon; the surgery invades his brain. He is then permitted to escape, for the 'information' he now carries out puts scores of innocent people under suspicion, pits groups and organizations against one another. In Paris, the elite intelligence bureau, the Deuxieme, has reason to believe it has been compromised. In London, a ranking secretary in the Foreign Office is caught, while others who are innocent are accused. In Washington, the Vice President himself, as well as senators and congressmen, are suddenly investigated.
In the company of his brother, Drew, a former professional hockey player and now a Consular Operations officer at the Americal Embassy in Paris, Harry is gruesomely executed. What else can the revenge-seeking Drew do but take on Harry's identity..."
