The dust jacket is intact. There is shelf wear to edges/ends/corners, with rubbing, small tears and creasing to edges as pictured. Minor scuffing. There is red staining to the rear cover (possibly colour transfer from hardcover, as there are some what appears to be water staining on the underside of the jacket).There is tearing wear a sticker has been pulled off on the rear.
The hardcover is intact with shelf wear (rubbing) to edges, ends and corners as pictured. The embossing on the spine is intact and legible. Some bumping to edges/corners. Some colour removal from board on back as described above.
The page margins (seen when book is closed) are clean but yellowed.
Inside:
The binding is firm and intact.
Inside the front and back covers is clean, but there is tanning.
The pages are clean and intact, apart from tanning. There is an inscription in ink on the front-end page dated 1958 and two pages over there is another inscription as photographed.
