A vintage copy of this story that was later made into a movie. The narrative follows an aspiring medical student who sacrifices all for his career. Unable to fund his studies independently, he seeks a relationship with a nurse of means, who is able to support him. The couple marry and eventually the student graduates and opens his own practice. Unfortunately, at some point we all must face life on our own, and this is not different for our protagonist.
