"LOVE, HATE, SEX AND AMBITION...
THE FABULOUS NOVEL OF TEH WORLD'S MOST EXCITING INDUSTRY
Loren Hardeman I began his career as a mechanic and rose to become the proud and driving force behind Bethlehem Motors. At 91, still dynamic but confined to a wheel-chair, he makes a last desperate gamble to head the entire industry - with a superlative new motor, the Betsy.
To promote the progress of this gutsy new car, LH is prepared to commit in its entirety his personal and corporate fortune. As his "legs" he hires racing driver Angelo Periono, grandson of a Mafia chieftan and one small step away from the world championship. Angelo understands LH's need to drive everybody else off the road: on the track he has learned, through control and cunning, to dominate both his cars and his women as ruthlessly as either were dominated by any billionaire or boardroom. He knows, too, that the stakes are enormous - 100 million pounds from drawing board to realisation.
With a scene that speeds from Detroit to London, from the Riviera to Palm Beach, the world's Number One bestselling author tells an unforgettable story of the lives and loves, men and women, wives and mistresses behind THE BETSY."
