The dust jacket is intact (in that it is functional), but it clearly shows its age. Wear includes tearing/chips and missing pieces as pictured. There is also staining and tanning. There has been a little repair work done with archival tape to prevent further damage.
The hardcover beneath likewise shows signs of wear, mainly to the two ends of the spine, which are heavily worn as pictured. There is also wear to the corners and edges.
The page margins (seen when book is closed) shows signs of discolouration (tanning/yellowing).
Inside:
The binding remains firm and intact.
Inside the front and back covers and end pages there is some foxing. There is also a name inscription and a book-seller's sticker on the bottom of the inside of the front cover.
The pages are intact but are discoloured and there is occasional foxing.
